About Suzanne
Suzanne graduated from the University of Alberta in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, and in 1993 with a Bachelor of Education.
Her career turned to childbirth education after the birth of her two children, now adults. Her husband Guy is the perfect advocate for doula services, and supports Suzanne, who is on-call most days of the year!
Suzanne completed the Childbirth Educators Certificate program in Vancouver, BC as well as the DONA Birth Doula Training in Edmonton, AB. She has been a certified doula with DONA International since April 1999. Gentle Touch's private pre-natal preparation has received excellent feedback. Suzanne is also the local Birth Doula Trainer for DONA International.
Suzanne is actively involved in Edmonton's childbirth community, including the Doula Association of Edmonton. She is well known and respected by caregivers in all of the Greater Edmonton Area hospitals, including the Lucina Birth Centre in Edmonton, AB. Both professional and client references are available.
Gentle Touch also has excellent backup doulas available, all of whom are past or current executive members of the Doula Association of Edmonton.
