Suzanne graduated from the University of Alberta in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology, and in 1993 with a Bachelor of Education.

Her career turned to childbirth education after the birth of her two children, now 15 and 11 years of age. Her husband Guy is the perfect advocate for doula services, and supports Suzanne, who is on-call 7 days per week, 24 hours per day!

Suzanne completed the Childbirth Educators Certificate Program in Vancouver, B.C. as well as the Professional Labour Support Training Course in Edmonton, Alberta. She has been a certified doula through DONA International since April, 1999. Gentle Touch's private prenatal classes have received excellent feedback. Suzanne is Northern Alberta's Doula trainer for DONA International, as well as the Doula Representative for the Regional Women's Health Program Council in Edmonton.

Suzanne is actively involved in Edmonton's Childbirth Community, including the Doula Association of Edmonton. She is well known and respected by caregivers in all of the Greater Edmonton area hospitals, including the Birthing Centre in Stony Plain, AB. Both professional and client references are available.

Gentle Touch also has excellent back-up doulas available, all of whom are past or current executive members of the Doula Association of Edmonton.
